So you've finally purchased an awesome desktop computer for your day trading, but have one lousy monitor to view. As any day trader knows, having multiple monitors is very important. How else will you be able to see all of the programs running at once? Clicking colse to on one monitor can be done, but isn't convenient, nor is it recommended. You can have a much easier life by simply purchasing multiple monitors for your day trading computer.

What Brands Are Best for Monitors

Now, this doesn't mean that you should just go out and buy a bunch of monitors and set them up. There are brands and models that are first-rate to others and you'll have to reconsider their compatibility with your machine. The most recommended brands for multiple monitors are those made by Asus and Samsung.

Other Components that Play a Role

There are other factors within your computer that must be considered as well, such as the descriptive card and yield ports. The display of your monitor is very important. Optic is everything, so you'll need a good ability graphics card that is made specifically for multi-monitor purposes, such as the Ati FirePro 2460 Pcle 2.0x16. Many successful traders use this descriptive card for their systems. They should come with dual Dvi outputs. Your computer will need to be capable of dealing with intense demands of your day trading software.

Buying multiple Monitors

When it comes time to buy multiple monitors, you will need to ensure that they are all the same model and brand. Having monitors that don't match can cause difference problems that could slow down your tasks. The size of your monitors is also foremost - the bigger the screen, the more you can see. With the descriptive card mentioned above, you will be able to have hi-resolution visuals on widescreens up to 30 inches. Flat panel monitors are also recommended for great vision. Again, the monitors that you select for your trading computer should match in model, as well as size. In fact, you should reconsider purchasing them all at the same time to ensure that they do.

How Many Monitors Day Traders Need

The estimate of monitors that are needed for day trading all comes down to the trader. Some use three or four monitors while others use up to 8 monitors, or more. Of course, the more you have the better, but don't get too carried away to where your head spins. Six to eight monitors should be adequate enough, and not too broad for your viewing and comprehension. The purpose of a day trading computer is to make your job easier, not more hectic.
